PeachPol is a Georgia-focused political news and analysis platform built to explain the people, power and policies shaping the state.
At a time when political coverage often prioritizes speed and headlines, PeachPol focuses on clarity and context. The goal is not just to report what is happening, but to explain what it means, who is driving it and why it matters for Georgians.
Coverage spans statewide races, the state Capitol, policy decisions and the broader forces influencing political power in Georgia. That includes what happens publicly — and the dynamics that shape decisions behind the scenes.
PeachPol is designed for readers who want a clearer understanding of Georgia politics without having to sort through noise, speculation or incomplete information.
The platform publishes original reporting, analysis and commentary throughout the week, along with a weekly newsletter featuring exclusive content and deeper insight into the stories shaping the state.
PeachPol does not aim to replace traditional news coverage. It exists to complement it — offering explanation, context and perspective where there are gaps.
Meet our team

Maya T. Prabhu
Editorial director
Maya T. Prabhu is the editorial director and chief operations officer at PeachPol.
She has spent nearly a decade covering Georgia politics — at the Capitol, on the campaign trail and across the state — focused on understanding how decisions get made and who they affect. Over time, Maya saw a consistent gap in political coverage: the headlines were there, but the context was often missing.
That experience helped shape her approach at PeachPol, where the focus is on explaining what is happening in Georgia politics, who is driving it and why it matters.
Before joining PeachPol, Maya was a reporter at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she covered state government, legislative politics and major policy debates. She has also reported on state and local government in South Carolina and Maryland.
She lives in Cobb County, where she fosters dogs and cats and will always choose Beyoncé.
Maya — a Queens, New York, native raised in northern Virginia — is a graduate of Spelman College and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Fun fact: Maya has visited all six of the world’s permanently inhabited continents.
